Established suburbs alongside fast-growing estates in Sydney's south-west.
Local context
Liverpool spans two quite different markets. The established suburbs around the centre are largely post-war brick homes where the work is boundary replacement and side-access gates. The growth areas to the west and south are new estates where the pattern is the familiar one: builder-installed Colorbond boundaries, and an owner-added front fence and driveway gate afterwards.
In the estates, matching the existing boundary colour is the recurring request, and level blocks make panel runs efficient. In the established suburbs, blocks are older and less regular, so more measuring is involved and made-to-measure panels are more often the right answer.
Summer heat is worth a mention. Western Sydney gets significantly hotter than the coast, and a solid dark fence radiates that heat into a small yard. Where a yard is already tight, a louvre or spaced slat panel keeps the airflow that makes the space usable.
