The process
How It Works
There is no cart and no checkout, because nothing we make exists until you order it. Here is what actually happens between finding a product on this site and standing in front of a finished gate.

Getting a price
Four steps to a quote
The whole point of the configuration panel on each product page is that the office receives your exact selections rather than a blank contact form.
- 01
Choose a starting point
Pick the product closest to what you want. Nothing is locked in — it is a way of telling us the style and configuration you have in mind.
- 02
Set your configuration
Approximate width and height, colour, how private you want it and whether you need installation. The page carries all of it into the enquiry.
- 03
Send the enquiry
Add your contact details, the project address and any photos or plans. It takes a couple of minutes and there is no obligation.
- 04
We quote
You get a price for your project, not a range — including whether new posts are needed and what freight or installation involves.
After you approve
From order to installed
- 01
Approval
You confirm the dimensions, colour, hardware and any details we have flagged. Nothing is cut until this is agreed.
- 02
Manufacture
The frame is fabricated to your opening and the slat setout is worked so the pattern lands correctly at the top and bottom.
- 03
Powder coating
The finish is applied to the fabricated components in the colour you selected, including two-tone frame and infill where specified.
- 04
Delivery or installation
Supply-only orders are packed and freighted to you. Sydney installations are booked in and fitted by us.
Why it is done this way
Made to measure means measured first
A stock gate has to be adapted to your opening. That usually means packers, or a larger gap on one side, or a slat pattern that finishes on a half-slat at the top because the panel was cut down from a standard height. It works, but you can see it.
A made-to-measure gate starts from your opening. The frame is cut to it, the slat setout is calculated from it, and the hardware is chosen for the weight of the leaf that results. The trade-off is that it cannot be priced or built before we know the numbers — which is the reason this site asks you questions instead of showing you a cart.
The other reason is honesty. Publishing a price for a product whose cost genuinely varies by a factor of several depending on size and specification would either mislead you or be padded so heavily it tells you nothing. We would rather ask for two minutes of measurements.
