Quote Terms
Sending an enquiry is free and commits you to nothing. This page explains what we do with it and what a quote from us does and does not cover.
This document applies to the current version of this website.
An enquiry is not an order
Submitting the quote form is a request for a price. It does not create a contract, does not reserve manufacturing capacity and does not oblige you to proceed. Nothing is manufactured and nothing is charged until you have accepted a written quote.
What we do with your enquiry
Your enquiry is emailed to our office and stored on our system so it cannot be lost to a failed email. A person reads it, and where we need more information to price the job accurately, we will ask rather than guess.
How we handle the personal information in an enquiry is set out in our privacy policy.
Information you provide
Quotes are prepared from the information you give us. Dimensions, site conditions, what the product will fix to and whether installation is required all materially affect the price.
Where information is missing or turns out to be different on site, the quote may need to be revised. That is not a tactic — it is the consequence of pricing a made-to-measure product from incomplete information, and it is why we ask for measurements and a photograph up front.
Uploads
You can attach site photos, plans, drawings and inspiration images. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or PDF, up to 8 files, 10 MB per file and 40 MB total.
Only upload material you have the right to share. Please do not attach identity documents, financial records or other sensitive material — we never need them to quote a gate.
What a quote includes
A quote states the product, its dimensions, the style and slat arrangement, the colour, the hardware, and whether posts, removal of existing work, freight or installation are included.
Anything not listed in the quote is not part of it. If you are unsure whether something is covered, ask before accepting rather than assuming.
Validity
Each quote states how long it is valid for. Material and freight costs move, and an expired quote may need to be reissued at current cost rather than honoured indefinitely.
Approvals and compliance
Council approvals, planning controls and compliance obligations relating to your property are your responsibility. This is particularly important for front fence heights, heritage conservation areas, and any fencing or gate forming part of a swimming pool barrier.
Tell us at enquiry stage about any requirement you have been given, so the product is quoted to suit it. We will not assert that a product complies with a requirement we have not been asked to meet.
No obligation, either way
You are free not to proceed after receiving a quote, and we are free to decline work that we do not believe we can deliver properly — a site we cannot access safely, or a specification we do not think will perform. If we decline, we will tell you why.
